I have been a INXS and Michael Hutchence fan in my growing years, wonder if there is anyone who is a more potent mix of talent, charisma and sexiness than Michael Hutchence…

 Today is Thanksgiving day in America. I want to wish every one happy thanksgiving! There are so many who are dear to me who live in America, my friends, my  brother and the most beautiful people have met . The smartest people know are in America. In my opinion is the smartest country in the world in spite of the gun problem or the drug problem. Am grateful to know these beautiful people and gather from this CNN article Benjamin Franklin thought ” Eagle” had “”bad moral character” and that Sarah Josepha Hale wrote ” “Mary had a Little Lamb.” 🙂

I spent my early years in a gated township forty miles from Mumbai ( Bombay) and the township had a singular public library. My friend and me would cycle ( bike) to go there and spend time reading. This is a favorite memory and love libraries. I still look for a library in a new city. I guess coffee shops and book stores have taken over..

Please see this wonderful pictorial tour of great libraries from South Korea, China, US to Europe. The Architecture, splendor and historical significance is a sight to behold. My favorite ones among these are dmont Abbey library, Admont, Austria,Mafra Palace Library, Mafra, Portugal and The Escorial Library, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain. European architecture is so special but all of them are brilliant.

Some have wonderful linear path. Amma, Appa and Muthu. Muthu finishes graduate school. Gets a good job marries Rajlaxmi 🙂 That is very good and so wish was like that.. ( The south Indian names are just anecdotal, Amma ( mom), Appa ( Dad), Muthu ( was my childhood friends name) 🙂

For many of us ” life obliges over and over again to give birth to themselves “, may be for all of us at some stage, sometimes its  love, sometimes a friend, sometimes our own soul, that is a catalyst. The great author is so right. As for myself just want to go back to that boy in school with unspoilt possibilities and dreams. Goodnight friends! Hope you have a nice day! Today went to Mother Teresa home and the good sister( nun) asked me why am not married ? never thought good sister would ask me this profound question 🙂 but was in good faith, stumbled something and told her to pray for me also 🙂 came back with a conclusion , women are geniuses. I promised will return.

Blogging

I have a notification that have reached 200 posts on Word Press. I remember some six months ago my friend Sameer came to meet with a magazine in tow, he spoke to me about blogging and showed me the magazine which had done a cover feature on blogging. One of his friends was covered in the magazine. He told me to blog. I thought may be should give it a try. The next day my brother in law, Amol told me the same thing, he told me to pour all of myself in blogging. I am always open to good advice and good intentions and spoke to my best friend Venu and started this little journey.  Iam grateful to them. I had no path, no theme, no categories and no graphics. I wanted it to be bare and honest. I wanted the warts to be visible and truth be layed  with sincerity. Am not  from the attitude plus generation and do not claim to know everything. I just wanted to share a journey, soul, music …I thought may be I could spread.

I named the blog ” Never lament casually”  inspired from Leonard Cohen’s words  ” As I grew older, I understood that instructions came with this voice. What were these instructions? The instructions were never to lament casually. And if one is to express the great inevitable defeat that awaits us all, it must be done within the strict confines of dignity and beauty.” ( Leonard Cohen’s speech given at the October 21, 2011 Prince of Asturias Awards ceremony.). I posted my first post this very speech of master as a humble homage for this Journey. You see , dont have a father, only thing could relate to or as a reference was poems, songs, speeches by Leonard Cohen, who think is a modern day genius ,  Christ of the dysfunctional world.

So post whatever feel at the moment, have no grand plan, yes would like to leave you happier, lovelier and more humane..

I have no clue, if what i share makes you some sense of the moment or even pleasure, have no idea how i come across, never went to Oxbridge, if you have any feedback or suggestions would be very grateful. I will be happy to hear from you.

Star Sports: Believe ( MS Dhoni)

I had posted a Vivaldi advertisement ( Dare. Change) which had loved and want to share an Indian advert. of Star sports with Inspirational Cricket captain M S Dhoni. I liked this advert. for it message of ” Believe.” I think this is the most important word in the world. If you “believe”, anything is possible. To quote from the advert ” I believe world is yours and I believe chances are like heart beats ,can’t afford to miss a single one..”

I also want to leave with you one of best sights in cricket field, MS Dhoni ” Helicopter shot” 🙂
