“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Life is a miracle. I have always considered life and daily living as a miracle. It is the ordinary which is extraordinary. I think that’s Zen 101.
To feel a sense of oneness with all beings and being centered in one’s tiny little universe. Lots of people drunk with ambition and capricious nature will consider it nonsense. This is me and that is you. I think life is a gift. Today after sometime took thirteen year old vehicle to service station. The same early morning. The same place. I was expecting to meet same people. The same walk back home which has been routine. A cup of tea. Oneness with every one. However was struck by sadness as the supervisor there told me of some one whom knew passed away with COVID last year. The 2021 delta outbreak was severe. I just lost myself in a moment of grief. The supervisor showed me a photograph. I deleted departed’s number from mobile with a prayer. I had known and relied on him for years for all matters of automobile. I surrender to people’s expertise. He had told me his plans to buy a house. I had volunteered to sell my apartment. Young life lost for nothing? If this is not destiny? what is ?
Life is random and unpredictable. I think free will is overrated. Both free will and luck have equal measure in life. The problem is every one does not have the same experience of life. Hence our sensibilities are different. I want to leave you with this thought from the great scientist ….
A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

I think life is a gift. We must make the best possible experience of that gift. Extend compassion to all.
Love and Light.
Sincerely, Suresh
