Quote 31 Jan

”  Grameen has taught me two things: first, our knowledge base about people and their interactions is still very inadequate; second, each individual person is very important. Each person has tremendous potential. She or he alone can influence the lives of others within the communities, nations, within and beyond her or his own time.

Each of us has much more hidden inside us than we have had a chance to explore. Unless we create an environment that enables us to discover the limits of our potential, we will never know what we have inside of us.

But it is solely up to us to decide where we want to go. We are the navigators and pilots of this planet. If we take our role seriously, we can reach the destination we seek. ”

― Muhammad Yunus, Banker To The Poor

The Nobel laureate writes in author’s preface, ”  Banker to the poor, The story of Grameen Bank “( Muhammad Yunus with Alan Jolis). I need to finish the book and more importantly wanted to share the message for your dear friends ” Our knowledge base about people and their interactions is still very inadequate. Every person has tremendous potential. Every one is important. If we take our role seriously we can reach the destination we seek.” I have no two doubts.

So I wish you courage and luck in this journey my friends. I remain grateful and  we can all reach the destination we seek.

Hope you have a lovely weekend ! Thank you!

Apologies and Break

30 Jan

Apologies. I have been away from blogging. It’s a public -private space which have grown to be fond of and frankly love it. I have been working. I have been on road. I have been working. I am grateful for work.  If find little time will resume blogging.  Work is my salvation and for someone like me and my background ” it’s everything.” I have a mission. I want to study. I have a simple family and few friends. My life revolves around my family : mom, brother and sister. My extended family. My few dear friends and well wishers who are all out of town. I have never been self congratulatory and that’s a path do not like. I just want to be grateful for the moment. I wish you and each one very best. May the one above make your journey healthier, safer and happier. Till then..

You know, whenever me travel or go out of the city even for two hours, first call get is from my mother ” Have you reached”, second get a text message from sister ” Have you reached and do you need anything” and third from my brother ” Do you need anything”..

I am naive and they seem to know that ” fall sick on first day of travel”. So my sister will tell me ” go out and eat something, you will feel better”, only then go out and eat, else  just sleep the first day.

My simple life. My simple caring family. So are my friends. Do I miss any thing, ” Yes hotel nights are lonely and wish had someone to talk to…”. We will see , where that goes ..:)

Till then I am grateful.

My hotel room till day before@ Mumbai..

Remember and always remember :

Gratitude for the present moment and fullness of life now is true prosperity.”  ( Eckhart Tolle)

Judas Priest – worth fighting for

23 Jan

A Judas priest song ” Worth fighting for”, a great song 🙂

Worth Fighting For : Judas Priest

You said I could never find a way to ease your mind
That where I’d go you’d wind up in the dust
I tried so hard to have you reach another side of me
Instead you went to nowhere and forgot

So I wander on
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for

Desert heat can wear you down
But still I’m rollin’ through
Did I see your figure in the haze?
I am driven by a thirst to quench myself of love
The sun beats on me for the price I’ve paid

So I wander on
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for

Night road leads me to a town of ghosts
Beckoned by the glow of keresone & tumbleweed
They’re calling out (they’re calling out)
Forever more (forever more)

I’m leaning in the wind
Head bowed down from what I saw
My shadow for a friend
Still some things are worth fighting for

So I’m moving on
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for

Worth fighting for

So I wonder on.. ” So I wander on/Asking where you might have gone/From what I knew before/Some things are worth fighting for..”
Yes, Somethings are worth fighting for..
Dreams, good people, love, honor, dignity, family, true work, children are all  worth fighting for…
See the band, singing, guitar, somethings are just meant to be great..
All other are worth fighting for 🙂
So I wander on/Asking where you might have gone..
Goodnight friends! hope you have a lovely day!
Thank you!
Quote 22 Jan

” Freedom is a state of mind – not freedom from something but a sense of freedom, a freedom to doubt and question everything and therefore so intense, active and vigorous that it throws away every dependence, slavery, conformity and acceptance. Such freedom implies being completely alone. But can the mind brought up in a culture so dependent on environment and its own tendencies ever find that freedom  which is complete solitude and in which there is no leadership, no tradition and no authority?

The solitude is an inward state of mind which is not dependent on any stimulus or any knowledge and is not the result of any experience and conclusion. Most of us, inwardly, are never alone. There is difference between isolation, cutting one self off, and aloneness and solitude. We all know what it is to be isolated – building a wall around oneself in order never to be hurt, never to be vulnerable, or cultivating detachment which is another form of agony, or living in some dreamy ivory tower of ideology. Aloneness is something quite different.

You are never alone beacuse you are full of all the memories, all the conditioning, all the mutterrings of yesterday, your mind is never clear of all the rubbish it has accumulated. To be alone you must die to the past. When you are alone, totally alone, not belonging to any family, any nation, any culture, any particular continent, there is that sense of being an outsider. The man who is completely alone in this way is innocent and it is innocency that frees mind from sorrow.

We carry about with us the burden of what thousands of people have said and the memories of all our misfortunes. To abandon all that totally is to be alone, and the mind that is alone is not only innocent but young – not in time or age, but young innocent , alive at whatever age- and only such a mind can see that which is truth and that which is not measurable by words.”

― Jiddu Krishnamurti, Freedom from the known

I read this today morning and wanted to share for you dear friends. I am very excited by work. But this is how have lived life, alone. I do not know if it is right or wrong. I do know it helps retain innocence and   a certain purity of thought. See the scientists and philosophers…

Innocence is wonderful . Just don’t be a bechara ( helpless). Fight and retain that grit. It’s possible to be innocent and gritty. I guess in work situations ofcourse one adheres to a role. That’s  best. But in life ” being innocent and fighting spirit may be a good man’s armour or valour.”

I saw something was scribbled on  vehicle, a sign and a declaration of ” I love you”. It was done with fingers on the  dust on the bonnet. I wonder who is that? It is parked only in two places : housing colony and near  office. May be its some child’s mischief or may be its not, what ever it is it must be Innocence 🙂

Strange coincidence had quoted Kahlil gibran on love yesterday. Never mind the master is dead right ” it is innocency that frees mind from sorrow.”

Goodnight friends. Hope you have a lovely day! Thank you!

Quote 21 Jan

” When love beckons to you follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth……

But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure, Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor, Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears. Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love. And think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself.”

But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires: To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully.”

―  Kahlil Gibran, Le Prophete

I never had it easy. I had to struggle long and hard. I always felt could learn and grit back at work. I never doubted. My friends never doubted.  But I should have never failed at love. I wish had support many times. In hospitals. In new jobs. (The good guy who joined with me would speak to his wife.) It has left me stunned. Even my friends are helpless here. I took to religion.

I also learnt everything has a time and we must also rise above things. If it is meant to be. It will be. You can’t will love. You can will work.

It does not mean one is not loved generally, people are very kind, am amazed many times for a guy who has been alone, people are just too kind, as for  a companion, will surrender to god’s will, will let god find one for me, if its meant to be, so will be , else will still be happy 🙂

Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)”

Dil se kam karta hun to dimag ko sukun nahin milta, dimag se kam karta hun to dil ko sukun nahi milta ( If my heart is happy, my mind is not happy. If my mind is happy, my heart is not happy) heard a comedian say in a mindless bolly wood caper..

I feel there is nothing wrong in liking someone, think its wonderful and beautiful, what’s wrong in that?

But everything wrong in making some one like you…

So we will see 🙂

Another master says ” In love you are always wrong, the other is always right..”

( In the world of  relationship and love, you are always in the wrong, the other is always right. And this is how lovers always feel. ” Something is wrong with me.” If things are not happening as they should. And both feel the same way! Then things grow, then centres open, then boundaries merge. Remember always: in love, you are always wrong. – Osho)

So am always wrong 🙂

Never mind . The great Kahlil and Osho is very right.  We all need grace of one above and we are just a spoke in wheel of life. I miss my father.

Goodnight friends ! “Love is unconditional acceptance of a person as s/he is. With the positive as well as negative qualities.” says another teacher.

Hope you have a lovely day! Thank you!

Bade Acche Lagte Hain (Amit Kumar )

19 Jan

As i was returning from work and started singing this song, oblivious to world and traffic jam, suddenly saw someone in the adjacent vehicle looking at me to my embarrassment 🙂

You see, am my own entertainment. This is a song from my childhood and also has some english subtitles..

Whom do I dedicate it too?

To me for remembering, to all people from my childhood, yes, was a child too once 🙂

Goodnight my friends! Thank you!

My life’s lesson

18 Jan

” Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.”

― Kahlil Gibran

I went to my sister’s place today and saw  collected works of Kahlil Gibran. I read a piece and then fell asleep.  I was tired. I had long embraced Kahlil’s ” Work is love made visible.” But there is more reckoned from my journey..

No life journey is absolute. But every journey is valid. No two human’s are alike. But every human being is important. We all have our maps and references based on our inclinations and preferences. Let me speak a little about ” like minded travellers”, before that a story..

We met many years ago. He of handsome and squeaky clean looks. He always had something nice to say about me. Both of us were driven. But we had a connection. But we had a vibe. We were fun. We would try to meet where ever life took us and catch up. I remember meeting him in four different cities. Sometimes me would venture to meet him. Sometimes he would venture to meet me. I knew he had the smarts and chutzpah. He always believed in me. Then life took off for him. Nothing made me more happy. I hit a rough patch. We lost touch. We never lost the vibe.  Many years later we were destined to meet. I told him ” you changed my life”. He told me something wonderful ” Life gets fair at some point..”. I am talking about ” like minded travellers.”

You know what, it is true of my experience, that life gets fair eventually if you never give up, if you persevere, if you take no short cuts, partake no ponzi schemes, if you can grit it out, learn your lessons, life gets fair..

There are many who come as ” like minded travellers” who change the course of your destiny, it is for you to recognize them and honour those learnings and lessons, once you have gone through them all, awaits divine grace, the one above, the final glistening to ” life getting fair.”

I am in deep gratitude to ” like minded travellers”, some one who suggested a book, someone who sent me to a course, some one who sent me to a pilgrimage, someone who taught me virtues of health, then my ” miracle traveller freind” and finally the one above..

I owe my current station and journey to them, to my fellow like minded travellers, they who have showered their learnings and love..

The lesson from my life is ” If you truly grit it out, take no short cuts, learn your lessons, live your learnings, with the grace of one above, life gets fair..”

I have always believed that we can change the world.  Like minded fellow travellers are the polestars and sometimes like lighthouses in sea..shining light on our path.

Yes, life gets fair, don’t give up, don’t ever give up, have faith …

Good night friends ! Yes, ” work is love made visible ” and it is also ” about gritting it out, persevering it out and then one day, it all makes sense..”

If there is one lesson that can confidently and truly  share with the world is ” Grit”.

Have a lovely day!

Thank you!
