Accomplish…

17 Dec

“Accomplish but do not boast, accomplish without show, accomplish without arrogance, accomplish without grabbing, accomplish without forcing.”

― Lao Tzu

This is the definition of accomplishment that like. Am sure there are many paths. This is the one that prefer. I somehow feel genius & ingenuity necessarily must be humble and that is the only way they can manage their gift. Otherwise it may be a burden. But then there are exceptional people who are brash and blase. So may be there are all kinds of paths to accomplishments just as there are all kinds of people and personality types. I think we have a  DNA and we should choose a path that aligns our value set.

I was talking to the young boy and he said ” I do not want to be part of rat race and am still sure will end up in top 10 ― 20 percent of my class.” That’s the self assurance we need. We all have our paths. We need self assurance. I am told sometimes ” You think you are….You think you are…or you think ….”. All because do not talk or do not respond to a certain stereotype. I am not into ” Talk, arrogance, greed, show off, blabber..”. I like quiet self assuredness.

” There is a nice balance, you are at the center of your own orbit or as Dylan said you fade into your parade.”

―  Leonard cohen

Is it cocky? Is it audacity ? I don’t know. At least you are not a grabber and do not seek acknowledgements from people.

I do feel ― we need to reach out, reach out to people, reach out to opportunity, reach out to share…

May be that’s addendum to Lao Tzu.

This for today, have a good day dear friends!

Love, Suresh
