“This is my living faith, an active faith, a faith of verbs: to question, explore, experiment, experience, walk, run, dance, play, eat, love, learn, dare, taste, touch, smell, listen, speak, write, read, draw, provoke, emote, scream, sin, repent, cry, kneel, pray, bow, rise, stand, look, laugh, cajole, create, confront, confound, walk back, walk forward, circle, hide, and seek.”

  Terry Tempest Williams, Leap

I stumbled upon this quote and the author captures the human condition very well. I have learnt we must question  constantly and work on our belief systems. I don’t necessarily mean religious or poilitical beliefs. But every day conclusions we make of what’s possible or not possible.

I have come to appreciate ” Progress starts with a right thought which is preceded by a right belief. Most often the right belief is ” Yes I can or Yes, this is possible or Yes, why not ? ” I would tend to include reason also part of belief. The curiousity is always because of reason. Belief creates space or removes clutter for a right thought or right action. The fundamentalists or extreme beliefs create no space or regiment  preclude any examination.

So a working defination of my belief = faith + reason.

This is more wholesome and eclectic perhaps.

What say friends & would be happy to receive any comments..

Have a easy sunday friends!

Love. Suresh
