Argentina

” It won’t be easy
You’ll think it strange
When I try to explain how I feel
That I still need your love
After ll that I’ve done
You won’t believe me…

And as for fortune and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world
They were all I desired
They are illusions
They’re not the solutions
They promise to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me..

Don’t cry for me Argentina…”

This from a favorite song “Don’t cry for me Argentina”. And they love La Albiceleste Irrespective.   I loved the images of Argentinian football fans celebrating their second place in 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil. This is so beautiful, for them their team is a winner. That is love. No one remembers the man who won silver but in the hearts of the lovers there is only good for the beloved. I am such a one too. They really played their hearts out and were truly exceptional. There is no second best. Germany deservedly won the championship, Argentina are champions.  Some pictures..

They who had looked crestfallen and almost defiant in their loss. Why wouldn’t they be? You would be dejected if you are the best footballer in the world?  They had fought their hearts out?

” The Argentina players cut dejected figures as they waited to collect their medals at the end of Sunday’s Final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. Yet as Alejandro Sabella’s men wiped away the tears triggered by their narrow defeat to Germany, their compatriots back home gathered en masse in streets up and down the land to express their gratitude.

The epicentre was Avenida 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires, a traditional setting for the nation’s sporting celebrations, though anyone unaware of the scoreline could have almost have been forgiven for thinking La Albiceleste had won, such was the upbeat mood in the air.

“It’s a lovely touch obviously,” said Sergio Aguero, speaking exclusively to FIFA.com, on hearing of the celebrations in Argentina. “Getting that kind of recognition gives us the strength to overcome the sadness we’re feeling right now. I honestly can’t put into words how thankful I am for their support and their affection.”

Just one more thing the beloved  and great musician Carlos Santana  who performed at closing ceremony was asked who would win finals and had this stunning  reasoned response :

” I think Germany are going to win. I’d like to see Argentina win because I live in America, but it’s not going to happen. It’s not impossible, but it’s not probable. It’s not impossible because I love Messi, however my German brothers – because we’re all family – have an extra element of clarity and concentration. For example, musicians, when they play really fast, you have to think slower, but when you play slower, you have to think really fast. They understand this. Also, the way they breathe is not controlled by terror, it’s not fear, it’s not paralysing or stiff. Like when a woman has a baby, they change their breath and relax. At an event like the World Cup, you have to learn to breathe correctly or else you get tired really quickly. I think my German brothers understand this. When I saw what they did to Brazil, [I saw that] they were a team and they are not depending on one superstar to win. They are a collective. It’s very difficult to beat a team with superstars – the team will always win. That’s my perception. ”

This before the match and the great artiste proved right..

But for  Argentinian fans. They were always the best. They are not second best. They will always be the best.

Its good to be a fan in life, all love and grief, back to love..

” Have I said to much?
There’s nothing more I can think of to say to you
But all you have to do
Is look at me to know
That every word is true  ”

( ” Don’t cry for me Argentina”)

Hope you have a lovely day dear friends! Thank you!
